Let me preface this by stating that I am Jewish, not Catholic. Although some of my good friends are Catholic (Current and former) I am ignorant of the Catholic theology….so if I make an error please forgive me.
This story focuses on a woman that thought it would be a Christ-like action for her to call in a bomb threat to a school that is inclusive of gay students.
What set her off? Same sex wedding announcements in the Church Bulletin. Yea….us gay folks flaunting our sexuality again…
The woman lives in CA, the school is in DC.
Sonia Tabizada, 36, pleaded guilty to obstructing religious exercise by threat of force by making threats in May 2019 to Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School, the oldest Catholic girls school in the country, after it announced it would begin publishing same-sex wedding announcements in its alumni magazine...
The woman had no known connection to the school.
Boy oh boy is this woman a sweetheart.
….made multiple threatening phone calls to the school, including leaving voicemails stating that she would burn and bomb the church, kill school officials and students and commit “terrorism,” according to court documents
Her religiously tolerant actual words?
“Hey motherfuckers, I’m going to burn that fucking church, I’m going to bomb it, bitch! I’m going to fucking kill you guys. I’m going to send my fucking soldiers, motherfuckers. Remove the fucking gay motherfuckers from your magazine, or I’m going to fucking kill your kids. That’s a promise.”
If found guilty she faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
