This is not who we really are.
This morning our Republican governor, Mike Pence, closed himself into a room with a few other narrow-minded people and signed this monstrous 'Religious Freedom' bill into law. He even kicked the press out while he did it. At some point last night, he stopped taking phone calls from outraged Indiana constituents of both parties. He did not heed the warning of Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard (R),or warnings from Gen Con, our largest annual convention in Indy. He did not consider the letter from leaders of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) who warned that they may pull their scheduled 6,000-person general assembly out of Indianapolis in 2017. Clearly, the cost of this intolerant legislation must 'go up in price.'
